Amulet of Seth

Prologue: The Prophecy


Location: Egypt
Time: 320 BC


       "I, Aden, a scribe of Semerkhet, forewarn that he who removes the amulet shall have released Set and all his terrible powers.
      Seth, Ruler of Evil will once again be free to terrorize the world at the turn of a distance Millennia. His powers to destroy and kill.
       And Seth sayeth "I am the shadow across the sun. I am the bringer of plagues. My wrath will consume all lands and seas."
    
 


Location: England, Croft Manor
Time: present day, 3:00 am


        Sunrise over the Croft Mansion. Lara is in the living room watch a special report. Ring, Ring.
Lara picked it up.
       "Hello?" Lara asked as she sat down. "Yes, Lara I need your help." Jack said.
        "With what?" Lara asked, stunned. "I need you to find the amulet of Set." he added. "Seth?" Lara asked. "Where is it?" she added on.
        "It's in Egypt in the Temple of Semerkhet." Jack said. "It was just discovered.”
         "Bye." Lara said. She went up stairs to pack.






Location: England airport
Time: 1:00 pm in the afternoon


    "Lady Croft?" a voice said. "Hey, Alex." Lara said. "How are things?" Alex asked Lara. "Well I saved the world from Cho leu." Lara told him.
      "Ladies and gentleman the plane to Cairo, Egypt nonstop is being boarded." the lady said.
      "That's my flight." Lara said. "Bye." She went and boarded the plane.



Location: Cairo, Egypt
Time: 12:00 pm


          Lara arrived at a huge hotel in Cairo. "So this is the Good Night Inn." Lara said. "Lara!" a voice yelled. She knew who it was. "Krystal, what are you doing here?" Lara asked. "I'm on a honey moon with Tim." Krystal replied.
          "You got married?" Lara asked. "Yes. I did." Krystal answered. "Well, I better go to bed." Lara said. "Okay, good night Lara." Krystal said. "Who was that?" Tim asked. "She is the one that help us save the world back when we were in middle school." Krystal told him. "Oh."
 
        In the morning Lara went down to get her mail when, "Shandon, what about Lady Croft?" asked Jack. "I don't need to worry about her." he answered.
          Lara ducked. They walked right passed her. She got up and left to go to her good friend Jack.


       Lara opened the door to her ford jeep and got in. The sun begun to rise.




Location: The Museum of the Ancients
Time: 12:00 pm (noon)


       "Lara, its so good to see you." Jack said. "Jack I need you to tell me about the amulet of Seth." Lara told him. "Well, " he began. "Between 300 and 340 BC a scribe made an amulet to give to Seth. But later on he had seen what it had done with it, so he stole the amulet and put in the temple of Semerkhet, to where it remains to this day." Jack said.
          "Seth was furious. He brought plagues upon Egypt." he added. "But the scribe banned him from Egypt. Seth then walked through this weird mist and became a god."
"Oh." Lara said.
          "But that is not all. Seth was so pissed off that he had the people build a temple so that they could worship him. And they did." said Jack.
          "And when they stopped Seth, again brought plagues and the people started to worship him again." he told Lara.
Shots rang out. "Lara you better go." Jack said. "Not with
out a fight." Lara replied. Lara put out her pistols and fired.


          Meanwhile Shandon was on his way to the temple. "So how-" Shandon interrupted one of his men. "Shut up and drive." he commend.


Location: Shandon’s hideout
Time: 4:59 pm


          Lara got out of the boat and went inside. Shots fired. Lara dodged the bullets. "Well, well if it isn't Lara Croft."
          "Oh." Lara said. "What are you doing here?" the men asked. "Looking for the amulet of Seth." Lara answered. "I'm after-"
          "Ian, that's a lie." Lara snapped. "Think what you want." Ian answered.
          Lara pulled out one of her pistols, she pointed it at Ian. Then she left.


          "Lara are you sure he won't tell Cho Leu?" asked Jack. "If he does then-" Lara paused. "Get in the Jeep." Lara ordered. They get in. "Step on it!" Lara yelled. Shots fired. The ford jeep took off.
          "After her!" Alex yelled.



Location: Somewhere in the desert, Mid-chase
Time: unknown


          "We lost them." Lara said as she turned around to face the front.
 



          "Lara," Jack said. "We've got company." Lara turned back around and fired. "Lara, what the hell are you doing?" Jack asked. "Just keep driving." Lara ordered. "We have to get to the temple before Cho Leu."
          "Lara, There is something I need to tell you." Jack said. "What is it?" Lara asked.
          "Alex and Cho Leu are brothers." he said. Lara looked at him with surprisement. Shots fired. Lara ducked. She got up and fired.
          "Lara, we have to take this jet." Jack said as he parked the jeep. They got out and got in the jet.


          "Jack, do you know how to fly a jet?" Lara asked. "What? I can't hear you!" Jack yelled. The engine of the jet was very loud. They got in and took off.


          "Damn-it." Alex said. Alex got on his cell and called Cho Leu.




Location: 30 miles from the Temple of Semerkhet
Time: Still unknown



          "Lara!" Jack yelled. "We're going down!" he said. The signs were flashing, in red, Danger, Danger. Lara took over the controls but it was no use. "Lara there is a parashoot in the back." Jack said. Lara got up from her seat and went to the parshoot. "Jack," Lara turned around. "Are you coming?" Lara asked. No response.
          Lara jumped and watched as the jet hit the ground. Once Lara made it to the ground, she ran as fast as she could to get to Jack in time.


          She made it to him, thinking he might have made it. Then Lara saw him laying on the ground. She went to his side. "Lara," he said as Lara knelt next to him. "This is the key to get inside the temple." Then silence. Nothing but the wind. Lara put down the lifeless body and looked at the plane. There was some gas spilled and flames. Lara got back up. She spirited as fast as she could. Then the plane blew up, Lara stumbled as the jet was going up in flames. Lara stayed there for a moment then she got back up. Lara, who now had no guide was alone.



Location: Temple of Semerkhet
Time: Midnight
             
      
          Lara had reached the temple. Maybe I should have called someone Lara thought, with no one by her side. Lara still had to save the world. So she put the key in the keyhole, the door open and in she went.
          As Lara walked through the temple she couldn't help wondering that if Jack hadn't called her she wouldn't be here and the world would be controlled by Seth.


 

          Lara entered a huge room. She saw the amulet on a pedestal. As Lara got closer a bladed came down. Lara had missed it. God I wish I had Dan and Krystal were with me Lara thought.
          "Keep going." a voice said. "Who's there?" Lara asked, ready to take her pistols out. Then a fog- like mist came and formed a figure. "Lara, " said a filmier voice. "Jack? Is that you?" Lara asked. No answer. Then shots fired, Lara dodged them again and took out her pistols and fired.
          "Lara hand over the amulet." Shandon said. "Do you really think that I would do that?" Lara asked him, angrily.
''Now, Croft."
          Lara pulled out one pistol and pointed it at Cho. Lara fired. Shot rang out, and then the ground be again to shake. Lara was running towards the exit, when Alex pulled her down. "You killed my brother." Alex said. "Yeah, well he derives to be in hell." Lara said.
          Alex got really pissed. Lara took the pistol she had out and hit Alex with it. Alex got knocked back. Lara got up and ran out the door; Shandon and Alex made it out too. Lara turned around and shot Shandon, then turned to Alex. Lara then put his pistol away. "Now you know how it feels to be alone." Lara said.


          She looked up in the sky a helicopter was coming down. "Lady Croft are you all right?" one of the men asked. "Yes, thanks," Lara paused "Jack Jr Nelson." he said. "I'm so sorry about your father." Lara said. "He was a good man."



Location: The Cairo Hotel
Time: 4:30 pm



          Lara woke up in her hotel room. She got up, got dress and went down. "Lara," said Jack Jr. "Jack, thanks to you saved me and my life." Lara told him.
           "I have something for you." she said. Lara took out the amulet and gave it to Jack.
          "Thanks."
          "You're welcome.” Lara said.


 
Location: Cairo airport
Time: 11:00pm


          "Lara are you sure you don't want to stay?" Jack Jr. asked her. "Thanks, but no thanks." Lara replied. "But if you are ever in England look me up." Lara said. Then something that has never happen since Jack was killed, as she smiled.

Lara got on her plane and was glad that another adventure was over. When she got home she called Dan and Krystal and told them about the adventure she had.
