The goal is to find as many references to any of the four Indiana Jones films in TV shows, other movies, video games, books, comics, ads, etc. The prize, well there is no prize, but you'll have my respect. lol Wink

Well we already know that Family Guy is the ultimate gold mine for Indiana Jones references. But I'll be nice and start elsewhere. lol Tongue

In an episode of the Simpsons (Bart's Friend Falls In Love), Bart steals a jar of money from Homer Indiana Jones-style, and then re-inacting the famous boulder scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark with Homer as the boulder.

In an episode of Lost, Sawyer calls Walt "Short Round", who was Indy's sidekick in Temple of Doom.

In a scene from Toy Story, Buzz Lightyear is chased by a globe in the same fashion Indy was chased by the boulder in Raiders.

In the cartoon Muppet Babies, baby Kermit the Frog often dressed up as Indiana Jones in some of the baby muppets imaginary adventures.

In an episode of the Simpsons (Kiss Kiss Bang Bangalore), Homer is dressed as Temple of Doom's villain, Mola Ram. In the same episode Mr. Burns mentions that he had been served dinner in a "scooped-out monkey's head" just like the dinner scene in Temple of Doom.

Alright, your go Dr. Brody. Wink

You know I completely forgot about this thread. Lips sealed

Hey jedijoe, welcome to The Raiders' Realm. You must be a Star Wars fan. Cool I'm a fan myself.

Well we already know that Family Guy is the ultimate gold mine for Indiana Jones references. But I'll be nice and start elsewhere. lol Tongue

Yes, but I won't. Tongue lol

In the "Little Black Book" episode of Family Guy, Peter goes up to the attic in order to locate his little black book. In order to find it Peter uses the Headpiece and Staff of Ra, recreating the scene from Raiders in the map room where Indy locates the Well of Souls.

In the "Wish Upon A Weinstein" episode of Family Guy, a Jewish man invites Peter and his family to come to temple with him. Peter's response is, "Temple? Oh you mean like Indiana Jones?". The show then cuts to an animated version of the scene in Raiders where Indy is deligently taking the Fertility Idol, only difference is that a security guard walks up and yells at him to "just take it already!".

In both episodes guest starring James Woods, Peter and Brian have to catch him in a crate, Peter then deciding where to send him. At the end of the episode Brian asks Peter "whatever happened to James Woods?" Peter responds by saying "We have top men working on it." Brian asks who and Peter says "Top men." (In the second James Woods episode this exchange happens between Peter and Lois.) Recreating the convo Indy and Marcus had with the CIA at the end of Raiders in regards to the Ark of the Covenant. Before the credits roll for each episode, we see a man pushing a cart with James Woods's crate through a warehouse of more crates, just like the scene before the credits in Raiders.

In the episode where Chris runs away to join the Peace Corps in order to avoid Freshman hazing, the Griffin family wind up in South America in order to bring him home. At the end of the episode the natives discover that Chris is a Freshman and therefore needs to be tortured. The Griffins have to make a quick escape through the jungle with the natives chasing after them, recreating the scene in Raiders where Indy is chased by the Hovitos. Just like in Raiders, the Griffins escape in a plane with Indy's theme tune playing in the background.

The "chicken fights" in a few of the Family Guy episodes have also made Indy references. In the second round of Peter vs The Chicken, the fight leads them to the airport where they fight near the same bomber Indy fought the German Mechanic in Raiders. The fight is reinacted and the chicken is done in by the plane's propeller, just like the German Mechanic was in Raiders.
In the third round of Peter vs The Chicken, the two find themselves fighting in plane similar to the one from the beginning of Raiders. Peter is surprised by a snake in his seat, much like Indy had been.

Ok I'll stop before I make myself look like a show off. Roll Eyes lol
